Ralph S. Quatrano, Ph.D., immediate past dean of the faculty of Arts & Sciences and the Spencer T. Olin Professor of Biology in Arts & Sciences, has been named dean of the School of Engineering & Applied Science at Washington University in St. Louis.

Washington University School of Medicine has received a five-year, $13 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to improve efforts to eliminate two parasitic diseases, elephantiasis and river blindness. The award is believed to be the largest global health grant so far to the university.

'Faces of Hope' applications due Feb. 12
The Gephardt Institute for Public Service invites students, faculty and staff to participate in “Faces of Hope” in April, a celebration of civic engagement and community service.
